Let me start off by saying thanks for visiting our website.  I hope that your visit has blessed you in some way. 

My name is Brandon Howland and I am the designer/founder of FEARLESS GEAR.  I am currently the Student Minister at College Church in Fresno, CA.  I am married to my beautiful, wonderful, amazing wife, Melissa.  Now Melissa and I do not have any kids, but we do have a wonderful, famous, national television starring black lab named Kodiak that would love to meet each of you and play with any type of tennis ball with you.  He makes a great companion and a great guard dog for the house.  He is very FEARLESS as well!! 

I was messing around on my computer one day and “accidentallly” found out that I could make some designs that would look cool with my FEARLESS idea.  I came up with the FEARLESS idea from reading Ephesians 6.19-20 (NIV) which states:

“Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will FEARLESSLY make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains.  Pray that I may declare it FEARLESSLY, as I should.”

I was trying to think of a cool name for our Student Ministries at College Church and I initiated the FEARLESS STUDENT MINISTRIES.  On some of my designs you will notice a FSM design, which is the FEARLESS STUDENT MINISTRIES abbreviation.  I wanted to come up with a slogan that isn’t another one of the typical Christian slogans that people are sick of seeing on products.  My prayer is that through some of the alternative designs that I have created, the gospel will be seen and people will be attracted to at least reading Ephesians 6.19-20 and seeing that Paul, a follower of Christ that was so FEARLESS, he was declaring the good news of Christ from a prison and we are called to have that same FEARLESSness about us as followers of Christ.  People have been killed and tortured for declaring the name of Christ and we are told to be FEARLESS as well in declaring the gospel, even if the consequences are severe. 

My fearlessness about myself came over the last few years.  I was a Police officer in Abilene, Texas before moving to Fresno to do Student Ministry.  As a police officer, I had to learn to put fear behind me and go towards danger and possible harmful situations at times.  I had to learn how to be able to block out fear and willingly place myself in a scenario where Fear was not an option.  The bible tells us that blessed are the Peacemakers for they are called Sons of God (Matthew 5.9).  As a son of God, we are told to declare the gospel FEARLESSLY as we should.  I am still learning to FEARLESSLY declare the gospel as a follower of Christ for His sake.  He died for me and gave me the gift of grace and He wants a relationship with us in return.  In order to have a relationship with Him, we must be prepared to withstand the enemies’ attacks, which is why we need the Full Armor of God on every day.  With the armor of God on, and the faith that God is with us no matter what, who do we need to FEAR? NO ONE!!! 

My prayer is that everyone who visits us will be blessed and think about the verses in Ephesians and will learn to become more FEARLESS as a warrior and follower for Christ.  Christ was fearless and we are told to FEARLESSLY make known the mystery of the gospel.   If you have a FEARLESS story of how you were blessed to share the gospel with someone, than please share that with me.  I love hearing stories of how fellow FEARLESS warriors are making the gospel known to people!  If you are ever in Fresno, look me up!
